The summer is over …

The summer is over and it has been hectic, two festivals and five exhibitions. We are preparing for the next two and the new year, that is around the corner.

I used to live here …
If walls could talk, they would tell a story of hope, loss, love, sorrow – of life.

We make a house, a flat a room ours, refurbish, fill it will scent of me, and you. Sounds of laughter, tears, love and hate screamed and spoken to another filtrated through the fabric of furniture, bouncing against the walls. Christmas dinner being cooked, bread baked, the smell of ripe bananas and coffee.

All gone when you move, all the memories over plastered by a new human being decorating and washing the remnants of you away. A circle of life, a sadness, or relief, that everything changes, always.

Democracy again

Beautiful May has arrived and a new (old) exhibition will open, namely our first Democracy-installation, I et demokrati findes der ikke plads for idioter (In a democracy there is no place for idiots). This time the installation will be in Danish and take a look at Danish politics due to the upcoming elections in Denmark.

The exhibition will open on the 9th of May as a part of the festival Talk Town, which main purpose is to create a platform for democratic debate about equality, gender and feminism.

I et demokrati findes der ikke plads for idioter wants to bring awareness to how words are being used in politics, and how important it is to actively take a stance. With the installation questions such as; What are the choices of the voters based on? and What will happen if the words of the politicians is taken out of their context and put into a new? Inspired Ludwig Wittgenstein‘s thoughts regarding ‘language-game‘ and the definition of ‘an idiot’ as a person who does not participate in the democratic process, words will be ‘activated’ the interactive installation.

You tell me that you know me and know who I am. My answer is that you have knowledge of the parts I choose to show you and which I have edited for you. The puzzle that is called I is a continuity of renewal, change, and decay. A thin tread and a compact lump all in one.’
