Beats & Words at Cat Eyed People’s Playground
Where can the boarder between a work of art and the room be drawn? What happens when the room you enter becomes an instrument controlled by your movement?
Beats & Words is an interactive installation stemming from the sound universe of hip hop. As a visitor you are invited into the room to create and explore the beats that fills the space, and you are surrounded by signs with and without light presenting words taken from Swedish rap from the eighties and onwards.
The beats are produced for the installation, and are in a tempo that most people can rap, read poetry or sing to.
